Detached House, Hackney
Contemporary house on a set-back brownfield site. Formal composition opens up during the long processional approach to the building edged with a strip of water. The main vertical and floating first floor horizontal forms create a natural cover for the entrance and living room on each side accented by a rectangular projecting breakfast area window. Exterior and interior spaces have been merged to be used as one.
